HOCKEY FOR EVERYONE 

This was the scene on Friday January 13, 2012 as over 20 kids took
to the ice at 7am for a skate before classes.  These participants are not
registered in Minor Hockey so it was an opportunity for them to learn the
game under the guidance of volunteers Danny Dubé, Craig MacDougall,
Bryan Hopson, Nehemiah Dubé and Steve Gammage.  These sessions will
continue for 9 Fridays up to the March break.

Our fundraising money from last year and this year was used to purchase
equipment from George Manias at the All-Seasons Sports Exchange.  A lot of
equipment was donated.  We combined resources with the Optimist Club to
pay for the ice time to make this a totally free program for the kids.
We also received a financial donation from the good ol boys who play for the
Tillsonburg Old Caps.

Thanks to everyone who sold tickets, donated equipment or made a financial donation.
It is all being put to good use.
